8. NO hazing -
When it comes to hazing, our chapter has a zero-tolerance policy
which is supported by the National Fraternity, the University, and
our Board of Trustees.
7. Intramurals
- Football, basketball, softball, and soccer are just a few of the
intramural sports that ATO competes in each year.
6. Location - ATO’s
location at Syracuse University is right in the middle of it all.
Bird Library, main campus, Marshall Street, and the School of Management are located within
yelling distance of our chapter house.
5. Christian
Heritage - ATO's enjoy a brotherhood founded upon Christian
principles. While Alpha Tau Omega accepts men of various religious
beliefs, ATO can never be separated from the Christian framework
around which its founders based the fraternity during its beginnings
in 1865.
4. Academics -
The brothers of ATO are committed to academic excellence. In
recent years, our chapter has maintained a GPA of 3.0.
3. Social
Development - ATO offers a great social calendar on campus.
Brotherhood events, Homecoming events, and invite-list parties
are just a few examples of some of the things we do.
2. Leadership
Development - Alpha Tau Omega is "America's Leadership Development
Fraternity." The National Fraternity of ATO offers events such as
Regional Leadership Conference, Noah's Ark, and LeaderShape. By
taking part in chapter leadership and organization, brothers become
well-practiced in the dynamics of leadership.
1. Brotherhood - Above all, Alpha Tau Omega is a
brotherhood. Our primary purpose is to"bind men together in a
brotherhood based upon eternal and immutable principles." ATO is an
ever-expanding, tight-knit group of men committed to caring for each
other and seeing each other through the good times and the bad.
While your experience as an undergrad may only last for a few years,
the bonds of brotherhood last a lifetime. In life, many friends come
and go, but brothers are forever |
